Welcome!
We are excited for you all to join us in Porto for this special day!
We are looking forward to spending a couple of days with you, celebrating the experiences we’ve had and the life we’ve built together, and looking ahead to many more years to come. From what began as a ‘casual Friday drink’ that ended in our first kiss in Arnold Circus in Shoreditch, back to Arnold Circus a couple of years later to get engaged, is bringing us to Porto!
Porto is already a special place for us – it was one of the first and best holidays we took together as a couple, and we cannot wait to share it with you all.
What to Expect
We’ve deliberately booked the wedding on a bank holiday weekend in the U.K., Europe, and the U.S., to help everyone make the most of a long weekend away – or longer if you like! For those with kids in the UK, it’s also the start of half term, which hopefully makes travel planning easier.
We will be hosting a welcome event on Saturday evening (23rd May), with our wedding taking place Sunday (24th May), with some recovery time on Monday. Expect an open bar and a late license, so bring your dancing shoes!
For anyone coming in for the weekend we recommend flying in on Saturday morning and flying out Monday afternoon – but absolutely feel free to stay for longer and enjoy everything this beautiful part of Portugal has to offer.
Dress Code
We’re not going super formal for the wedding – we want everyone to be comfortable and have a good time in the (hopefully!) warm weather. The best description of the dress code is ‘Cocktail Dress’, although we’re not the best people to describe it so we thought we would let Vogue do it for us. For those of you who are more visual, we also made a pinterest with some ideas for the vibe. However, if you want to come a little more dressed up you are more than welcome to – whatever gets you in the party mood.

Accomodations
While you are absolutely welcome to stay at our Wedding venue (The Yeatman Hotel), we also wanted to suggest some other options to fit a range of budgets. Porto isn’t a big city, and taxis are always close by and not too expensive – so there are a whole range of options.
There are many options near our venue in Porto Gaia. We’ve suggested a few hotels below, and you could also consider AirBnBs across the city – we have certainly loved the ones we have stayed in.
We have a handful of rooms held at The Yeatman, so if you would like to stay there please drop us a WhatsApp and we can help you sort it for the nights you’d like – and probably get better estimates and offers.
Registry
As always, the most important thing to us is that you are in Porto with us to celebrate our special day. We know that travelling abroad to a wedding can be expensive, so please don’t feel at all obliged to gift us anything. However, if you did want to send us something, we have decided to keep it simple.
We hope to see you there!
